Gusting winds over 50 mph and torrential rains were the talk of the Arizona auctions last week. The weather wreaked havoc on auction tents across the area, with the most damage sustained at Russo and Steele, where two tents, each 800 ft x 100 ft, collapsed under the stress of the storm.
Beneath them, approximately 400 collector cars were exposed to falling tent poles, whipping cables, and flapping canvas. Despite damage to dozens of cars and a two-day delay, the sale resumed on Sunday as planned. Click here to read more and see photos of the damage here.
