Arlyn
Arlyn Smith of Laguna Niguel owns this 1968 Pontiac GTO. Smith bought the car last year after searching nationwide for three months. Smith ended up buying the car on eBay from a seller in Missouri after it had been "95 percent restored."
"It is a numbers-matching example of a well-restored American classic," Smith said. "It has power steering and a factory four-speed transmission. It runs well, is fun to drive and with a 355 differential, is fast!
The car retains a stock, 400-cubic-inch engine good for about 350 horsepower, Smith says.
"Most of the major restoration was done by the previous two owners and I continue to maintain it and complete some minor work. The most outstanding feature of the car is the factory Muncie transmission with a Hurst four speed. With a 355 rear end it will move, but also likes the gas."
