Born in Baltimore during one of America’s most iconic automotive eras, Randy’s passion for cars began when he helped his father restore a wrecked Corvette into an award-winning show car. At 14, he started working as a painter’s helper, and by 20, he had opened Randy’s Customs, specializing in collision repair and award-winning show-car finishes. The business eventually grew into a 10,000-square-foot facility with 10 technicians.
After decades in collision repair, estimating, framework, and insurance claims, Randy joined Auto Appraisal Network as a regional appraiser in 2010 and established his own Mid-Atlantic territory in 2013. He also operates Collision Consulting of Maryland, specializing in late-model vehicles.
An I.A.A.A. Certified Master Appraiser with extensive industry training and certifications, Randy provides expert appraisals for classic, custom, and late-model vehicles, as well as motorcycles, boats, watercraft, and aircraft. His services include insurance valuations, diminished value claims, resale and financing appraisals, estate and divorce valuations, and pre-purchase inspections.

Trusted by Vehicle Owners
-
Step 1
We Confirm the Appraisal Purpose
We start by confirming that a diminished value appraisal is the right fit for your situation. We may ask about the accident, repairs, insurance claim status, vehicle details, and how you plan to use the report.
-
Step 2
We Inspect and Document the Vehicle
Your appraiser meets you at the vehicle’s location to inspect and document the vehicle. We take detailed photos, record the vehicle’s condition, review visible repairs, and note features that may affect value, including mileage, options, upgrades, prior condition, and accident-related details.
-
Step 3
Our Research Team Reviews Market Data and Comps
After the inspection, the photos and notes are reviewed by our research team. They evaluate current market data, comparable vehicles when applicable, the vehicle’s condition, and other factors that may affect diminished value.
-
Step 4
You Receive a Certified Appraisal Report
Once complete, you receive a certified appraisal report documenting the vehicle, the appraisal purpose, relevant research, and the professional opinion of diminished value. You can use the report to support your insurance claim, settlement discussion, legal matter, or ownership records.
Need to Know What Your Vehicle Is Worth?
Whether you're insuring a collector car, considering a vehicle purchase, settling an estate, arranging financing, or simply need an independent opinion of value, Randy Williams can help you document what your vehicle is worth and why.
